Adam Krzeszowiec - NOSPR

Adam KrzeszowiecCello

Adam Krzeszowiec was a laureate of international cello competitions in London, Paris, Hradec, Warsaw, Katowice and Dąbrowa Górnicza. He was a semifinalist of the International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow, the Rostropowicz Competition in Paris, and the Geneva International Music Competition.
His tutor at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice was Paweł Głombik. He graduated in 2011 with honors and received the rector’s special award. He also studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne (with Frans Helmerson) and at the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elizabeth in Brussels (with Gary Hoffman).
He has played the greatest concert halls all over the world as a soloist and chamber musician: Wigmore Hall in London, Victoria Hall in Geneva, Salle Gaveau in Paris, and Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow.
He has worked with such orchestras as NOSPR, Filharmonia Śląska, Śląska Orkiestra Kameralna, Polska Orkiestra Radiowa (currently Orkiestra Polskiego Radia), Filharmonia Koszalińska, Filharmonia Zielonogórska, Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra, Morphing Chamber Orchestra, Kammerorchester arcata stuttgart, Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie, AUKSO, Bratislava Chamber Orchestra and Leopolis Chamber Orchestra. He participated in prestigious music festivals in Verbier and Gstaad (Switzerland), where his solo and chamber performances won him the Prix Jean-Nicolas Firmenich and Prix Philippe Chaignat. He participated in the Mischa Maisky – Carte Blanche concert, invited by Mischa Maisky himself. He performed at the following festivals as a chamber musician: Seiji Ozawa International Academy Switzerland, Schleswig- Holstein Musik Festival, Verbier Festival, Ensemble Festival in Książ, PODIUM Festival.
Since 2010 he has been performing in a duo with the pianist Anna Krzeszowiec. Together, they won an honorable mention in the 1st Competition for Duos with a Piano in Warsaw and 1st prize in the 11th 'Premio Città di Padova' Music Competition. Adam Krzeszowiec was nominated for the Fryderyk 2013 award for his recording of Grażyna Bacewicz’s Cello Concerto with Sinfonia Iuventus.
Since 2012, he has been concertmaster of the cellos section at NOSPR. He is a lecturer at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice.
