Recitals by the world’s greatest pianist have become an inseparable part of the Katowice Kultura Natura Festival. This year, the NOSPR Concert Hall will host Nikolai Lugansky, one of the most famous Russian piano virtuosi. We will hear his interpretation of Prelude and Fugue, Op. 18, by César Franck, arranged for piano, and Images Set 2 and L'isle joyeuse by Claude Debussy. The second part of the concert will feature Russian music, closest to Lugansky’s heart: two sonatas by Alexander Scriabin, full of mystic symbolism, and five of the ten preludes, Op. 23, by Sergei Rachmaninoff.
