PHAROAH SANDERS QUARTET FOR THE OPENING OF THE JAZZ ALL SOULS' DAY!

This year's Jazz All Souls' Day edition on the premises the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra begins on November 2nd with the performance of  Pharoah Sanders Quartet!

Pharoah Sanders, presently fascinated with lyricism, is an American jazz saxophonist and composer known for his most characteristic sounds of the tenor saxophone in jazz. The Artist renowned for his rich solo career as well as his cooperation with John Coltrane and other jazz musicians, is one of the Grammy Award winners for the album Blues for Coltrane: A Tribute to John Coltrane, in 2016 he was honored with the Jazz Masters Award by NEA. His music is a veritable fusion of genres embodying soul, bepop, jazz-rock, jazz avantgarde and world music.

In Katowice he is performing in a quartet together with William Henderson, Oli Hayhurst, Gene Calderazzo.
